“15/20 Goals Please” – Former Spurs Player Tips Star To Step Up Once Again After Injury Blow

|

With Tottenham Hotspur summer signing Giovani Lo Celso slowly getting himself up to speed at the club, with three substitute appearances for manager Mauricio Pochettino so far, his progress on his season long loan spell (with an option to buy) will be stunted following news that he picked up an injury whilst on duty for Argentina against Chile last Friday.

On Tuesday, the club confirmed that he would spend six weeks on the sidelines with the hip problem he picked up, so the expectation is he’ll return to full training with us by the end of October.

Whilst that’s naturally a blow for Spurs as injuries continue to be an unwanted complication again, former player Graham Roberts has taken to social media and backed Dele Alli to step up and get back to his best again.

With Alli himself talking about there being more to his game than simply his goal return given his development as a player over the last few years, Roberts still believes he should be looking at a return of 15/20 to ensure he has an ‘incredible season’ again.

We all know he’s capable of it, and if he’s given fewer defensive duties and allowed to advance further forward, it’s in his locker.
